Pray About It: Do you think that you’re not capable of turning away from God? A prayerless Christian can very easily be turned to error. A simple reading of the horoscope in the newspaper or idle curiosity at those psychic readers advertised on television or a movie with occult themes are all ready to influence us ever so subtly.

Few Christians today talk about the fear of the Lord, but as we pray and read His Word, we see that the reason it’s so seldom talked about is that so few people really regard God as someone to be feared. But the fear of God is good, cleansing the soul.

Prayer cultivates the fear of the Lord. Prayerlessness casts it off.

The fear of God kills all other fears.
